Kick-Ass 3 #1 – 8 (2013-2014) : Kick-Ass 3 is an American comic book series published by Marvel Comics’ Icon Comics imprint. Created by writer Mark Millar and penciler John Romita Jr., it is a sequel to the Kick-Ass and Kick-Ass 2 and the spinoff miniseries Hit-Girl. It premiered in 2013 and ran for eight issues.

After the events of Kick-Ass 2, Mindy McCready (a.k.a. Hit-Girl) is in jail, while Dave Lizewski (a.k.a. Kick-Ass) graduates high school and continues to dedicate his life to fighting organized crime; however, his attempts continue to fall short: Justice Forever refuses to help him free Hit-Girl from prison and Lieutenant Stripes is shot and killed by Angela Genovese, the Motherfucker’s (Chris Genovese) mother, while trying to kill Chris in order to avenge his brother, Colonel Stars.
