X-Termination Saga #1 – 8 (2013)

The Story

Told across Age of Apocalypse, Astonishing X-Men and X-Treme X-Men books. Both Age of Apocalypse and X-Treme X-Men were both cancelled upon the conclusion of this story arc.

The Age of Apocalypse’s Nightcrawler wants to get home and he doesn’t care whether he destroys our world to get there. After betraying X-Force, Wolverine calls in his street team (The Astonishing X-Men) to stop him. Nightcrawler along with Dark Beast uses the Dreaming Celestial to open a portal back to their universe. Meanwhile, Dazzler’s X-Treme X-Men scramble to repair a tear between dimensions that was caused by the evil Xaviers and Nightcrawler’s own actions. As the multiverse is slowly consumed, no one is safe, and the heroes must split up to fight a war in two universes. As the rift continues widening, the only chance is to step into the void and sacrifice one universe.
