This short-lived espionage series has the distinction of being one of the few DC series prior to 1967 to run fewer than six issues. Starring intrepid secret agent King Faraday the 1950-51 series dealt with fairly pedestrian situations and banked on the public’s interest with all things spy-related at the time to sell the series. Unfortunately, intrigue and spycraft are difficult to portray on the illustrated page and even art by Alex Toth couldn’t help the series, which was canceled after only five issues
