It’s settled: Jhonen Vasquez, creator of Squee! and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac is the Timothy Burton of comics. Using deliciously nightmarish imagery, he specializes in drawing the reader back into the terrifying moments of childhood—like when you really get to know what that thing in your closet is, or when the thing under the bed starts talking back to you.

Some might say that Squee (the little boy hero of the series) just has an overactive imagination, but he knows the real truth.
